Though the official end of summer is upon us -- the truth hurts, right? -- we're still living our warm-weather dreams. We're sitting outside in our shorts, sipping summer shandies and catching some rays, while planning our upcoming festival attendance. Fortunately, Shakespeare Festival St. Louis (www.sfstl.com) appears to be on the same page. The group stages Old Hearts Fresh, an hour-long adaptation of the Bard's The Winter's Tale, for Shakespeare in the Streets in the Grove (at 4226 Manchester Avenue). This story of forgiveness and renewal, themes that know no season, is presented at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday (September 19 through 21), and our lawn chairs and blankets are welcome (but coolers aren't -- eats and drinks can be purchased from nearby establishments). Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to park on side streets -- a portion of Manchester Avenue will be closed for the event.
