WWE: Raw: The Count Reaches 1,000

There's no denying that professional wrestling has had a hold on St. Louis for decades. And ever since it was announced that the 1,000th episode of the World Wrestling Entertainment's Raw Supershow would be broadcast live from the Scottrade Center (1401 Clark Avenue), the grip has only been tightening in anticipation. Just what the WWE has in store for Monday's millennial event is anybody's guess, but both Bret “Hitman” Hart and Brock Lesnar are said to make their long-awaited returns to St. Louis, while general manager John Laurinaitis (a.k.a. Johnny Ace) must fulfill his obligations to the WWE and do battle alongside the Big Show in a rough-and-tumble “2 on 1 Handicap Match” with John Cena. Tickets start at $20, doors swing open at 5:30 p.m. and the bell will sound an hour later. For more information, visit www.scottradecenter.com.
