Yo Gabba Gabba! Live!

2 and 5 p.m. Saturday, September 17. The Fox Theatre, 527 North Grand Boulevard.

Famously, this most hip and cross-generational of children's shows has St. Louis roots. Lance Robertson, a.k.a. DJ Lance Rock, is a native and a former Vintage Vinyl employee. This made for a warm homecoming the last time Yo Gabba Gabba! brought its live show to St. Louis and probably one reason we are getting an early date on its latest tour. DJ and "Beat of the Day" curator Biz Markie will once again join Lance and his crew, including a short opening set. Beyond that? A Saturday afternoon overloaded with music, animation, confetti and craziness. Sure to please parents and kids alike (but might make for a challenging bedtime). Cool, But We'd Really Like to See: A Yo Gabba Gabba! small-club concert tour with some of the other dozens of musicians who've graced the show's airwaves. Our dream bill: Devo, Trembling Blue Stars and the Clientele.
