In the lecture “You Don’t Need a Weatherman,” internationally recognized artist Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle will discuss his practice, including his recent installation, Weather Field No. 2, commissioned for Washington University’s Art on Campus program. The work, recently installed on the Danforth Campus near Olin Library, reflects the type of sophisticated sculptures that combine technology with natural phenomenon that Manglano-Ovalle is known for. The large-scale kinetic sculpture consists of 49 telescoping stainless steel poles alternating in height. Free and open to the public.
