You've Got WineGlasses

You've got WineStyles

At some stores selecting wine has become about as difficult as choosing between the company-provided health-care options: Should you pay the $57 out-of-pocket maximum for a bottle to serve at that dinner party you're hosting, knowing you can at least face the crowd with confidence, or would it be better to save some cash, buy the $3.99 merlot and hope no one gets sick? Decisions, decisions. Aha: WineStyles is making this process much easier. A franchise of these innovative wine shops has opened in Chesterfield (1624 Clarkson Road; 636-536-0711 or, and its wares are organized by style or taste (crisp, fruity and so on) — not by country, grape or something else that doesn't mean anything to you anyway. This format helps you easily pair a wine with what you're serving, and you can try WineStyles' boutique offerings before you buy at the weekly wine tastings there. The Thursday night sip session happens from 5 to 8 p.m.; on Saturday samples are poured from noon to 8 p.m. (that's like a full workday — hooray!). These tastings are free, and reservations aren't required — plus, there are no lengthy forms to fill out to participate.
