Zoo It Up Fancy

There's something inherently glamorous about cocktail parties in public spaces: the museum party, the park party, the zoo party. Why? It's because when you're there, it's after hours and this very public place — usually teeming with people in stretch pants and swarming with children — belongs only to you, the young partygoer. That's the allure of Zootini, the Young Zoo Friends fundraiser at the Living World (314-646-4771 or visit www.stlzoo.org) tonight from 8 p.m. to midnight. Your ticket ($35 to $80) buys you an evening of live DJs, live music by Soul Alliance featuring CoCo Soul, a couple drink tickets for zoo-themed libations and access after everyone else is long gone. Oh, and it helps the zoo help the animals. Attire for Zootini is upscale hip, and guests must be 21 or older.
