Zouzou and Jean are performing circus children. Although they're not related they are billed as twins. After they've grown, Zouzou falls in love with Jean, but he doesn't return her affection. However, they remain close. As an electrician at a Paris music hall, Jean even conspires to have the manager see the high-spirited Zouzou perform. But, when Jean is accused of murder, Zouzou pleads to go on stage to earn the money that may save him.
