Sorry, Lily Phillips! Alix Lynx beats Lily Phillips to the AI punch.

Lily Phillips has been teasing AI as her next big thing on OnlyFans, but it looks like fellow creator Alix Lynx has beaten her to the punch. We’re just as shocked as you that someone else has beaten Lily to yet another content creation goal, but there’s more to it this time. AI has made its way to OnlyFans, and the implications are a bit of a mixed bag.

Quick background story for those who aren’t familiar with her shenanigans: Lily Phillips is an English OnlyFans star and adult entertainer who gained viral notoriety in the fall of 2024 for having sexual encounters with 101 men in one day. BTS footage shot by a documentary filmmaker showed Phillips emotional and in tears when the event was over, causing an uptick in the ongoing conversation about the ethics surrounding mass sex stunts in the adult entertainment industry. For better or worse, she’s a trend-setter in the adult creator economy space, and one who has more than once announced that she’ll be the first to do something, only to be beaten to the punch by someone else shortly after publicly announcing her intentions. She’s been teasing for a while now that her “next move” is going to involve being the first creator on OnlyFans to create an AI version of herself.

Unfortunately for Lily Phillips, she was indeed beaten to the punch again. Alix Lynx is a veteran creator who has already created an AI version of herself. She fed years of her own photos and videos into an AI generation platform, and voilà! She has a virtual twin who can interact with her subscribers 24/7. Her AI twin chats with fans, creates custom content, can activate sexual or platonic modes, and is available to accommodate her subscribers’ requests anytime, day or night. Alix has built her business model in such a way that she charges for custom outputs (think: videos that feature her AI twin), and the output can get pretty pricey—leaving Alix to enjoy the profit. Where Lily was still in planning mode, Alix had already pulled the trigger and done the damn thing.

Congrats to Alix Lynx for beating Lily Phillips to this particular achievement, but there’s more at play than creator competition. AI avatars have the potential to completely shift how creators deliver their content and monetize their platforms. On the upside, the scalability knows no bounds, since the creator behind the digital twin doesn’t need to be physically present. Creators have more availability since they have their AI avatar handling at least some of their content for them. They can offer more diversity in their content when they have a digital twin, and fans can also “interact” more directly without the limitations that come from only having one set of hands responding to DMs. However, there’s potential for some pretty steep fallout too. Users already have trouble trusting that the person they’re chatting with on OnlyFans is actually the creator they’re financially supporting. When the robots start creating the content, the probability for content saturation is… high. Very high. Not to mention the ethical concerns and potential consent issues that pop up when AI clones are introduced into the mix without having any solid boundaries. Where fan trust is eroded, the value proposition changes, and creators charging higher prices will have audiences questioning whether a subscription is really worth it if they’re paying to see a robot instead of a person. There are also legal and regulatory implications to consider. The right to one’s likeness, consent issues when AI deepfakes pop up—all still platform policy gray zones.

As AI continues to creep into more and more industries, it’s important to remember that just because the interactive “creator” you’re paying appears to be up and at it 24/7 doesn’t mean the real person behind it is actually an automaton who doesn’t need things like sleep and shower breaks. It’s not unethical for creators to incorporate AI into their content as long as that same creator is the one who’s receiving the financial benefit of said AI. If a creator is using AI avatars, it’s a good idea to ask the following: Who built it? Who maintains it? Who owns the revenue? In the adult entertainment space, extra caution is necessary. The legal implications over image rights, the potential for consent to be violated because someone else borrowed your face for their own content, and the overall risk of exploitation for both creators and subscribers are all important factors to consider. Before subscribing to a creator who uses AI, make sure the profile is verified. If they’re using AI, check their bio to make sure they’re open about their digital twin. And as always, check in with yourself. Are you clear on what you’re paying for? Are you okay paying money for that thing?

Lily may have broadcasted the benchmark, but Alix quietly zoomed right past her with her AI twin in tow. This shift isn’t niche—it’s a signal of how the creator economy and adult entertainment are evolving due to AI. If your favorite creator suddenly starts offering a clone who can hop on a call at a moment’s notice at 3 a.m., then it’s probably time to make sure the creator you initially followed is still reaping the financial benefit from your monthly subscription fee. So while enjoying your OnlyFans feed, make sure to stay savvy, curious, and on top of checking that you aren’t paying for illusions without ensuring that actual creators like Alix are benefiting from your purchase.
