Meet Summer, The OnlyFans Model With Macromastia

Most women experience sexual harassment at work at some point or another, that’s just an gross reality of the world that we live in. Summer Roberts was no different, but she managed to turn workplace harassment into a lucrative career after a rare diagnosis made her a magnet for Men with Opinions. Summer lives with macromastia, a condition that causes one’s breasts to almost require their own zip code due to their large size.

Macromastia is the clinical term for when your breasts grow so large they essentially start running your life like tiny, flesh-made dictators. Living with that kind of weight on your chest isn’t pleasant, and it definitely isn’t the comedic punchline that people tend to treat it as. It means constant back pain that feels like your spine personally offended God, strangers treating your chest like a public suggestion box, and clothes that fit everywhere except front and center. People love to sexualize large boobs, but they never talk about the part where it makes you feel like your body is shouting while the rest of you is whispering. That’s the reality Summer was navigating, long before she ever made an OnlyFans account.

Summer was diagnosed with her condition shortly before starting her OnlyFans account. She was going about her workday when a few of her co-workers’ jeers got under her skin. Thus, an OnlyFans account was born. Says Summer, “after being harassed by two men at work who were shouting that I am the Scottish Dolly Parton and talking about my boobs constantly, the chef took me into the kitchen to console me and joked that I should make an OnlyFans called Scotchdolly to cheer me up.” It cheered her up so much that she decided… Why not? “We did for a joke, and it blew up!” said Summer.

Summer is far from the only woman to find empowerment on OnlyFans after a lifetime of objectification. There is something fierce about being in control of the gaze rather than being subjected to it. See also: that paycheck sure doesn’t suck. OnlyFans gives women like Summer a way to turn the tables on those who would gawk at them for their own visual pleasure, and cheers them on while they do it. Summer’s found the community to be the best thing for reclaiming her own self-image. Says Summer, “Onlyfans has been the best thing to ever happen to me. The community that I have found there really makes me love myself more. It has given me confidence I never thought I’d ever have.”

In Summer’s case, OnlyFans also allows her to celebrate the thing that caused her to receive so much unwanted attention. ”I think most of the content my fans want me to do is based around my boobs. I have a ton of fans who are there just to see my journey. Those who have been there from the start and check in every month to see how much I’ve grown. It’s so sweet,” says Summer. It’s more than just breast-oriented content on her OnlyFans page though. “I have all different types of content from stuffing (eating large amounts on camera), full sex tapes to solo. My subscribers often order custom content from me with the guidelines of ‘do whatever you feel sexy doing’.” I mean… if your paying audience tells you to go forth and make yourself feel sexy, what’s a girl to do?

Summer’s dedicated to her supporters and subscribers too, always taking an extra minute to make sure that they feel seen. And her subscribers love her for it. “I run all of my accounts by myself, it is hard but I would not trust anyone with my account or with my subscribers,” says Summer. “I love forming a connection with my subscribers and they love that they know for a fact that they are always talking to me. I chat to them like a normal person and they appreciate that a lot more than being overly sexy and pushy.” In a world where connection frequently comes with a price, it’s refreshing to know that the creator you’re paying to see is actually the one responding to all your DMs, and that she cares.

Life with macromastia is… not easy. It being such a visually identifiable condition means that people feel like they can say whatever they want to Summer about it. “I wish people knew that this isn’t something I can control,” says Summer. “Women judge me on the streets for having large boobs, like I got them done. I wish they’d realise it’s natural and I can’t change it. I wish more people were as sex positive as I am with regards to OnlyFans.” Luckily for Summer, she’s embraced herself for who she is, and is making bank. “I’m just a girl with large assets that loves to show them off. There’s nothing wrong with that, everyone has a body, some just choose to show the world. God made me like this, he would want me to show it off!”

Where so many women absorb the message that they have to shrink themselves to survive, Summer instead decided to embrace the fact that it’s medically necessary for her to take up space. If you think being hot is a walk in the park, try doing it when the world won’t stop staring, hmm?
