The Civil Life Brewing Company (3714 Holt Avenue)

manchemono: Civil Life has really impressed me. With higher alcohol content being popular in the beer world; it is wonderful to see a brewery producing great Session beers.

2nd Shift Brewing (1401 Olive Road, New Haven; 573-237-3672)

Nick McClane: Art of Neurosis from 2nd Shift... best local beer period!

Crown Valley Brewery (13326 State Route F, Ste. Genevieve; 573-756-9463)

synthyte: They're based out of St Genevieve but their distribution is so strong in Saint Louis they might as well be local: Crown Valley. Not everything they make is as above-average as, say, Perennial. But probably my favorite underrated craft beer is their Serrano Sidekick APA. Something about its adventurous blend of restrained hot pepper and euphoric hoppiness is marvelous and should be talked about more, especially in the context of the disappointing lack of pepper beers in Saint Louis.

Heavy Riff Brewing Company (6413 Clayton Avenue)

ankrepel: Heavy Riff! The vanilla coffee underbrown is amazing!
