Wow, that was fast! In a whirlwind of top-notch performances from legends and buzz bands alike, pool parties, and rain, Coachella's first weekend is over. Here are our scribes' favorite moments from Sunday. See you next weekend!

The Weather and the Musician-Inspired Ice Cream The high Sunday was 81 degrees. The perfect weather turned Coachella into the festival we knew and loved again. There were shirtless dudes baking in the sun, girls dancing in bikinis. The next logical step? Cool Haus ice cream sandwiches! The $6 treats were named (or renamed) for musicians playing the fest; I had the Gary Clark Jr.-inspired sandwich, which was made with whiskey ice cream and fruity pebbles. Yum. -Lilledeshan Bose

Seun Kuti, Outdoor Stage Nigerian showman Seun Kuti's afternoon performance on the Outdoor stage spoke to the young crowd, who responded to his music and expressions of political activism. "This is for my father," he shouted over the cheers, to honor the legacy of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, whose songs inspired a generation of Nigerians. At Coachella, everyone from hippie chicks to beefed-up bros felt the energy. Sweat streamed down Kuti's back until, arms raised, he and his backup dancers ran offstage to the screams of his new fans. -Gabrielle Canon
