Surely Les Claypool of Primus has had dreams about jumping into the chocolate river seen in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Or finding the golden ticket. Or getting a golden egg-laying goose nooooow, Daddy.

Claypool's obsession with Willy Wonka is on display in Primus & the Chocolate Factory, the group's newest and eighth studio album that reworks the film's songs, and was the foundation for an imaginative stage show November 5 at Peabody Opera House. With psychedelic lighting, Wonka-esque costumes and candy as far as the eye could see, Primus' production was "pure imagination."

Primus pulled no punches when it came to recreating Claypool's favorite movie. Claypool, himself, represented ol' Willy:

Everyone knows how trippy Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory is, so it wasn't surprising that Primus' stage was full of crazy sights, like this giant mushroom that sort of looks like a penis:

Primus fans had their golden tickets and came fully prepared to taste some psychedelic snozzberries. Many were dressed in the bright colors of the candy featured in the film:
