Tomorrow night, the first Music of the Hour (MOTH)-presented local showcase is taking place at the Old Rock House. Details are here. One of the bands performing is Natural Selection, the funk-rock party band whose new album is called White Picket Fence. In this week's Homespun column, Christian Schaeffer described Fence like so: "Singer and keyboardist Samuel Glover started Natural Selection as an R&B cover band, and you can feel the funk on the seven-song CD. Glover favors vintage synth and electric-piano tones, giving both spacey and retro overtones to most of the songs." Read the rest of that article here -- and grab a new MP3 below.
