Alan Cohen, once a Brentwood attorney, was arrested on fraud, drug and public indecency charges on Wednesday in Indiana.

Alan Cohen is literally pissing it all away.

The disgraced former attorney from St. Louis was arrested more than 300 miles away on Wednesday, caught urinating in the parking lot of an Indiana mall, police said. In his pockets were sixteen Citibank credit cards with stranger’s names on them. In his car were dozens more, cops said. They eventually recovered about 90 cards from across the country, authorities said.

News of the bizarre arrest was first reported by the Palladium-Item in Richmond, Indiana. When asked what he was doing at the Richmond Square Mall, Cohen told police he wanted to shop at Dillard’s department store, the paper wrote.

There are three Dillard’s stores in St. Louis and a fourth across the river in St. Claire.

Cohen, 48, looks disheveled in a booking photo. His hair is a mess, and he appears to be sweating. Police claim they found muscle relaxant pills in his Ford Crown Victoria. Police had responded because someone called in to report a white car driving recklessly.

Cohen once practiced law in Brentwood, but then he was caught stealing from clients. He surrendered his law license in 2010. He was later sentenced to five years probation as part of a plea deal, court records show. He finished in January.

Cohen was booked into Wayne County Jail on Wednesday night. He was charged with felony counts of fraud and drug crimes along with a misdemeanor of public indecency.

Richmond cops also planned to contact federal authorities as they continue to investigate what he was doing with the credit cards, police said.
