In this week's print edition, we rolled out the Riverfront Times' comprehensive list of the best happy hours in St. Louis. (And no, this wasn't only being done as a public service to you, dear reader -- we were also promoting the very cool free smart-phone app that includes our fascinating finds.)
In conjunction with the print feature, we chose one truly terrific happy hour for each day of the week. This is the last in our series of seven. Yes, we're sad to be done, too.
Sunday's Happy Hour of the Day: Morton's the Steakhouse
7822 Bonhomme Avenue, Clayton; 314-725-4008
During weekdays, we need to relax, and on Saturdays, we want to get bombed. But on Sundays, what we really want is to be pampered. We want to sip our drink, not chug it; we want to taste something rich and yummy, not gulp down a corndog between rounds of karaoke. In other words, on Sundays, we want to go to Morton's the Steakhouse.
The Clayton outpost of this national chain is the only one in Missouri, so it's literally the only place you can go for Morton's beloved Bar Bites menu. From Sunday through Friday, 5 to 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close, that means mini crab cake BLTs for just $6, as well as $6 for a plate of four petit filet mignon sandwiches. Yummy!
Equally nice? During those hours, beer is $5, glasses of wine are $6, and martinis are just $7.
