How They Voted on Health Care: Missouri and St. Louis Area Representatives

The health care reform bill passed the House of Representatives last night with a 219 to 212 vote. No Republicans supported the measure. Thirty four Democrats also voted no, including Missouri rep Ike Skelton.

The bill now heads to the Senate. Speaking on KMOX this morning Missouri Congressman Todd Akin (D - Town & Country) said: "If a foreign power did what Congress did to America last night, we would be at war right now."

In Missouri, only three reps voted in favor of the bill. Six voted no. Here's the final tally:

In Illinois, 12 congressmen voted in support of the bill, while just seven voted no.

In southwestern Illinois, Jerry Costello (D) supported the bill. John Shimkus (R) did not.
