Beware, St. Louis. The Real Housewives are coming.

Celebrity news site LALate reports that Jim Edmonds and his wife Meghan will feature in season ten of the Real Housewives of Orange County, giving the LA-based show enough STL flavor "to make Nellyville fans applaud."

Edmonds, a former St. Louis Cardinal and California/Anaheim Angel who's now an analyst for Fox Sports Midwest, and wife No. 3, Meghan, are friends with Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow. Reports say Jimmy Baseball will film his segments for the show in St. Louis, possibly as a way to gauge whether a Real Housewives spin-off based here in River City could play.

The Real Housewives franchise is a pet project of St. Louis native and Bravo executive Andy Cohen, who famously rejected the idea of a Real Housewives of St. Louis show in 2010:

"I'm from St. Louis. I know the real housewives of St. Louis," he said then to the New York Times. "I don't necessarily want to see them on TV. Please don't let that be a slam on my hometown because it's my favorite place."

This isn't the first time Edmonds has been caught in Real Housewives fervor. His second wife Allison was rumored to be joining the Orange County cast, but the job went to Alexis Bellino instead, according to our sister paper LA Weekly.

The LALate report says Real Housewives will showcase other St. Louis celebrities, though Daily RFT has to wonder which STL celebrities would appeal to the Real Housewives crowd. Karlie Kloss? Jon Hamm? You're more likely to find them in Orange County than in the Lou. Nelly is still around, though he's got his own show to worry about.

But if the rumors are true, Daily RFT would like to be the first to formally welcome the circus of plastic surgery, cocktail throwing and overall absurdity that is Real Housewives to St. Louis.

Just don't bring Albert Pujols back. You can keep him.
