Keith Stubblefield: Jennings Man Charged in Killing Girlfriend, Brandis McCollier

The St. Louis County prosecutor's office today charged Keith L. Stubblefield, 38, with first-degree murder and armed criminal action stemming from the slaying yesterday of his girlfriend, Brandis McCollier, 23.

St. Louis County police responded around 2:30 a.m. Monday to the apartment Subblefield shared with McCollier in the 2600 block of Tyrell in Jennings. That's where they found McCollier dead and two children -- an infant child of Stubblefield and McCollier and a six-year-old of no relation -- unharmed.

Police say they are still looking into the possible motive for the shooting but believe that the couple had been arguing for days prior to the shooting. Stubblefield is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.
