Seven Arrested in Jefferson County Meth Lab Bust

A meth lab seizure in Jefferson County last week has led to drug charges against five area men and two females.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, deputies arrived last Thursday to a residence in the 12000 block of Big Pine Place in rural Desoto after receiving complaints of a strong chemical odor. Once there the lawmen found a meth lab operating in full production inside the home and took the seven subjects into custody after a brief struggle that left one deputy injured.

The suspects remain in Jefferson County Jail on charges of attempting to manufacture methamphetamine. Bond for each has been set at $100,000.

Stephen Williams, white male, age 19, Granite City, Ill.

Jacob Wolverton, W/M, age 23, Potosi, Mo

Nancy Williams, white female, age 41, Desoto, Mo

Ashley Hicks, W/F, age 22, Potosi, Mo

Charles Cole, W/M, age 22, Dittmer, Mo

Frank Dunn, W/M, age 41, Potosi, Mo

Devon Cole, W/M, age 29, Desoto, Mo
