Busch IV: Married? Really? Me!? Where?
As I mentioned earlier today, August Busch IV officially divorced his wife of 2.5 years on Wednesday.

I just returned from the St. Louis County Court where I took a look at the divorce file. Given the Busch clan's predilection for privacy, it's not surprising that the folder on the divorce was wafer thin. However, it was not completely devoid of curiosities -- including the fact that Busch IV couldn't recall where he and Kathryn Thatcher married in 2006.

In his petition filed November 26, Busch IV states there is "no reasonable likelihood that the marriage can be preserved and therefore the marriage is irretrievably broken." The same petition states that the couple was married August 5, 2006 in Bradford, New Hampshire. Errr, wrong!

In her response filed just this week, Kathryn corrects their place of marriage. The couple wed in Bradford, Vermont, not New Hampshire. She also states that she now lives in Massachusetts. The couple has been separated since October 3.

On the same day Busch IV filed for divorce, St. Louis County Judge Carolyn Whittington approved a motion that allowed the couple to end their marriage without providing the court with any income or expense statements or statements of property. Busch IV, according to paperwork in the files, still resides in the house he owned before the marriage located off Lindbergh Boulevard.

The filings also state that Kathryn signed a prenuptial agreement before the marriage. That contract has since been replaced with a "seperation agreement" that provides for the "disposition of separate and marital property."
