St. Louis Police: 20 Homicides So Far in 2010 -- Seven More Than First Two Months of '09

Murders are up in St. Louis so far in 2010, though those figures are slightly skewed by the actions of a deranged gunman who killed three people and wounded five others in a workplace shooting in January.

Responding to a Daily RFT request yesterday, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed 20 homicides in the city though the last day of February. By comparison, the first two months of 2009 produced 13 homicides.
