Steven McCoy: St. Louis Man Charged with Beating Infant Son

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office has charged 21-year-old Steven McCoy with critically beating his three-month-old son.

St. Louis police report that they were called to a local hospital the night of Valentine's Day to investigate "critical injuries" to the infant. Their investigation led authorities to believe that McCoy, of the 3800 block of Gravois, had beaten his son.

McCoy remains in custody on a $500,000 cash only bond charged with first-degree assault and abuse of a child.
