The influential math-rock-leaning indie group has been rather active in recent years; it released a new album, Flowers, in 2009. JOA's Tim Kinsella isn't the only member of his family coming to town this fall, either: His brother, Mike, is coming to town as Owen in September as part of play:STL Fest.
Meanwhile, ahead-of-their-time punks Nomeansno have also confirmed a show at the Firebird, on October 14. The band's only released two albums in the last decade, but remains a ferocious live act. That ticket info is also TBA.
