Scott & Beverly's Some Other Place

In the 50s, this building located on Lemay Ferry in south county housed a carhop restaurant. Today, it's Scott and Beverly's Some Other Place, and while you won't find girls on roller skates delivering milkshakes anymore, SOP still serves as a friendly bar and grill. There are dart leagues here, as well as $1.50 longnecks every night except Saturday, Thursday night trivia and karaoke on Friday and Sunday. One of the most unique things, however, is the menu, which completely revolves around death. (The place's slogan says it all: "Eat here if it kills you, we need the money.") Breakfast entrées include "freak toast" and the "salmonella slam," and there are lunch titles such as "murder burgers" and "mad chicken disease." Customers even receive their very own death certificate when they order from the menu. Feeling uncomfortable? If you don't want to take your chances with Some Other Place, you can always find...some other place.
