It's Not Insect-inside

Remember that old Atari game Bug Hunt? Well, the Bug Hunt Challenge at the Butterfly House in Faust Park (15193 Olive Boulevard, Chesterfield; www.butterflyhouse.org), happening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, is kinda like that. Except the bugs are alive and not just on your television screen. And you'll be looking for local bugs, not just any old crazy bugs the Atari people could think up in the 1980s. And you won't be shooting at these bugs with a light gun as you were in the days of yore; you'll actually be trying to capture them. So maybe the video game and today's event aren't that much alike — but they both are a bit of a competition: The Bug Hunt Challenge pits our stellar Butterfly House against similar houses across the nation, as well as against some zoos, to see who can catch the most bugs. Of course, St. Louisans will win, but we really have to prove it for the contest to be fair.
