Last month East-Coast chain, Insomnia Cookies (226 North Euclid Avenue), opened its first Missouri location in the Central West End, offering up its classic American sweet treats all day every day into late night hours. As recently reported by Gut Check, a similar concept called Hot Box Cookies will soon join the cookie craze in the neighborhood this January. Meanwhile a second location of Insomnia Cookies is due to open in the Delmar Loop soon.

During our daytime visit to the storefront, an employee took a break from baking off hundreds of cookies for a local college event to point out the popular picks in the display case. Cookies start at $1.35 each with discounted prices for bundles. Choose from classics including M&M, oatmeal raisin, white-chocolate macadamia, snickerdoodle and double-chocolate chunk.
Deluxe options, available for $2.75 each, include triple-chocolate chunk, chocolate peanut butter cup and s'mores deluxe cookies. Each cookie gets pulled from a warm drawer and stored in a cardboard box to keep the contents chewy and gooey. Other items available include brownies ($2.75), cookie cake ($17), and ice cream by the scoop, pint or quart with toppings and mix-ins. Alternatively, get the ice cream served a la mode or between cookies or brownies.
Insomnia Cookies' current hours feature pick-up daily from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. and delivery on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2:45 a.m., Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 2:45 a.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2:45 a.m. For more information, visit the Insomnia Cookies website or follow it via Facebook.
