Just back from the highly entertaining appearance by Anthony Bourdain at the Fox Theatre. I'll have a full write-up of the event later, but Bourdain made news of local interest during the question-and-answer session when an audience member inquired whether No Reservations would ever come to St. Louis.

No, he isn't planning on coming here.

However, for the upcoming season, he is planning an episode to be filmed in the Ozarks in both Missouri and Arkansas. Bourdain didn't share much more information, but he did say that he thinks West Plains, Missouri-based novelist Daniel Woodrell (Winter's Bone) is the best writer in America right now. Former RFT staff writer Ben Westhoff profiled Woodrell in December, 2006.
