Culpeppers (312 South Kirkwood Road; 314-821-7322) is closing its Kirkwood location tomorrow, September 4. It's the second location to close this year -- Culpeppers Creve Coeur shut its doors August 18.

Culpeppers Kirkwood opened in 1994 and was the company's third location in St. Louis, after the Central West End and Creve Coeur. COO Chris Olsen told Gut Check last month that the Creve Coeur location was closing because of a landlord dispute, not because Culpeppers is going out of business.
In a statement this week, Olsen said that Culpeppers owned this building and decided to sell it a few months ago. "The fact that it sold so close to the recent closing of our Creve Coeur location is coincidence -- Culpeppers has no plans to close any other locations at this time," he said.
