Schneithorst's

By morning, it's business-breakfast central. Get past that, and Schneithorst's is a little bit of Bavaria in the middle of St. Louis suburbia. Doesn't matter why you go there or which area you prefer, whether it's the upper-deck Biergarten, the lower-level Bierskeller, the casual Kaffee Haus or the more formal Hofamberg Inn dining room. If you want some strong German beer, a few potato pancakes, sauerbraten or Black Forest cake, this is the place, our voters say.

3. Al Smith's Feasting Fox
4. Dreamland Palace
