Joe Buck's Restaurant drew downtown sports fans.

It's one last postseason for the Buck family — or, at least, for the restaurant operation that bears their name.

The owners of Joe Buck's Restaurant in downtown St. Louis and J. Buck's in Clayton announced today that they would be closing the eateries after dinner service on October 30, blaming "rising operational costs."

Doug Albrecht, the managing partner of the group that bought the two restaurants in 2008, said in a press release that he would not be renewing the lease for either location. (The Buck family — which, of course, includes the Joe Buck — owns a small percentage of the group but is not a majority stakeholder.)

J. Buck's opened in 1999; the downtown location followed in 2006. Until they close, the two restaurants intend to donate 10 percent of their sales to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
