Behold, the "Regular Taco."
Two St. Louis restaurant favorites, Mission Taco Joint and Hi-Pointe Drive-In, are teaming up to bring you a new creation in honor of National Taco Day, which is next Wednesday, October 4.

Deemed the "Regular Taco," the limited-time item is the second collaboration between Mission Taco Joint and Hi-Pointe Drive-In chef Mike Johnson (the first one being the Taco Burger at Hi-Pointe Drive-In). The specialty taco will include ground beef, lettuce, smoked cheddar, lime crema, tomato, a crispy shell and Mission Taco Joint Sauce, which Hi-Pointe Drive-In usually only serves in its taco burger.

If you think it sounds like a high-end version of the crunchy tacos popularized by Taco Bell, you're not wrong —- but we're pretty sure this version will be classier — and tastier. (It's also a bit more expensive; Taco Bell's version sets you back $1.29, while the "Regular Taco" will be sold a la carte for $2.75.)

The "Regular Taco" will be available at Mission Taco Joint's St. Louis locations from October 4 to October 31. It will also be on the menu at Hi-Pointe Drive-In and Mission Taco Kansas City on October 4.
