New Restaurant Tidbits: Premierz, the Purple Martin, Annie Moons

Some quick-hit opening news from around town.

- Driving South Grand Boulevard the other day, I spotted activity at the former Mikey Moes location at 5535 South Grand, near the intersection with Bates Street. A sign in the front window advertised a new restaurant called Premierz, featuring "American Cuisine & Soul Food." Premierz has established a Facebook page, which doesn't reveal too much more info besides a phone number, 314-932-7408, and a few photos of food, including steak with onion rings and a chicken-and-waffles dish.

- The blog St. Louis City Talk scored news of a new restaurant in Fox Park called the Purple Martin. Manhattan natives and current Fox Park residents Brooke Sissman Roseberry and Tony Lagouranis will open the restaurant at the corner of California and Shenandoah avenues, according to the blog post, which includes a sneak preview of the Purple Martin's menu. - Finally, Sauce stumbled upon a new spot that has been open since March: Annie Moons Bakery and Cafe. Annie Moons is located at 4001 Utah Street in Tower Grove South, the former home of the St. Louis Tea Room.
