Billy G's (131 West Argonne, Kirkwood; 314-984-8000), the latest feather in the Gianino's Restaurant Group's cap, opened its Kirkwood doors this August to much fanfare. Occupying the former Massa's location, the space underwent a massive renovation that resulted in, most notably, a stunning outdoor space. Kirkwood is abuzz about this exquisite patio, outfitted with flaming torches, chic banquettes and a table that has a fireplace built into its pebbly center.

At first glance, the Billy G's menu leans Italian, filled with staples such as eggplant Parmesan and chicken spedini. A wood pizza oven peaks out from the kitchen as diners watch its flames kiss the crust of their nascent pies. But then one encounters "Down South Shrimp and Grits." And Asian-influenced sesame-encrusted Ahi tuna. On the same menu. Hmmm.
