Seeing Red: Part 3

Still not red-y.
Still not red-y.

Still not red-y.

It's been three weeks since I last checked in with Red, the new Eastern European-themed restaurant at 1130 Washington Avenue. To recap: The restaurant was supposed to have its official grand opening on July 5. That was pushed back to July 19.

Tomorrow is July 19. You can probably feel safe making other plans. I passed by Red the other day, and while what I could see looked good, it didn't look like a restaurant opening in a day or two. Oddly, the phone number I called three weeks ago (314-588-7864) -- which is still listed as the restaurant's number in the print ad running in this week's RFT -- now rings once and then cuts to static.

I'll keep you posted. And, as always, if you know something more, drop Gut Check a line.
