Seki in the Delmar Loop is now the second Blue Ocean Sushi.
The sign went up this afternoon to mark that the Delmar Loop Japanese restaurant Seki (6335 Delmar Boulevard, University City; 314-726-6477) is now officially the second location of another Delmar Loop sushi joint, Blue Ocean Sushi.

The original Blue Ocean Sushi, serving all-you-can-eat sushi, remains open at 609 Eastgate Avenue. George Mahe first reported the transfer of owneship from Hiroshi Seki to Blue Ocean owner A.K. at the beginning of this month.

(A.K. is his preferred name; according to the Missouri Secretary of State's records, the registered agent for Blue Ocean is Eakachai Ploentham.)

Though the two restaurants now share the same name, their menus will remain different.

At the new location, A.K. tells Gut Check, "We combine Blue Ocean Sushi and Seki."

A.K. says that, due to the size of the new location's menu, "I'm going to spend a couple months to figure what should be our menu...to see what customers like."

The new Blue Ocean Sushi is open every day but Monday. The original is open every day but Tuesday.
