We're still getting over our holiday hangover; it seems the rest of the city is, too. But should you be so inclined, there are many things to do this weekend. Friday (Dec. 27):

Soft Opening @ Small Batch

Prolific St. Louis restaurateur Dave Bailey (Baileys' Chocolate Bar, Rooster, Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar and Baileys' Range) is opening his latest, Small Batch, in the former Ford Motor Building at 3001 Locust Street in Midtown. The new restaurant will feature vegetarian cuisine as well as an extensive selection of bourbons and American whiskeys. Get a first look at soft openings Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The restaurant opens Thursday, January 2 at 5 p.m.

Shake, Rattle and Pour @ The Kitchen Conservatory

Create a celebration-worthy menu before your New Year's Eve party with the Kitchen Conservatory's Barbara Nack. Learn to make two martinis, the polar bear with vodka and blue Curaçao, and a white chocolate martini with Godiva and vanilla chocolate topped with shaved chocolate. For hors d'oeurves, you'll make pancetta-wrapped mushrooms, pepper-glazed goat cheese gratin on crostini, shu mai crab-pork dumplings with sweet and sour dipping sauce and chicken saltimbocca bites with lemon wine sauce. For dessert, it's caramel and chocolate dipped marshmallow skewers. Registration is $60 per person; register here. From 6 p.m to 8:30 p.m.

A Christmas Killing: The Murder of Ebenezer Scrooge @ Bissell Mansion Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre

Bissell presents its annual Christmas show, the interactive murder-mystery A Christmas Killing. Shows take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. from now through December. The cost per seat is $52.95 per person and includes a four-course meal with entree options such as an eight-ounce New York strip and baked white fish with an almondine sauce. Murder Mystery Dinner Show @ Rendezvous Cafe & Wine Bar

Spend a hilarious night with Jest Murder Mysteries with their show "The Christmas Killer" at Rendezvous Cafe & Wine Bar (217 South Main Street, O'Fallon; 636-281-2233) Tickets are $40 and include a four-course dinner and the show. Reservations required; call 636-281-2233

Sunday (Dec. 29):

Sunday Supper @ Chaumette Vineyards & Winery

Every Sunday night you can enjoy a feast of local produce and meats at Chaumette Winery in Ste. Genevieve. This week, it's potato and herb cream soup, a classic caesar salad, beef Wellington, then sirloin steak seasoned with herbs, onion, garlic and mushroom and wrapped with puff pastry, plus confit of carrot and parsnip and mushroom stroganoff . $18 per person, $7.45 for kids twelve and under.
