This weekend, hit up Food Truck Friday and Local Social in the Central West End. Alternatively, consider going on an ice cream bicycle ride hosted by Trailnet or sign up for a class at Kitchen Conservatory. Plenty of food-related fun awaits right after the jump.

Friday (Aug. 9):

International Farmers Market @ Cherokee Street This small but sweet farmers' market sits just outside of the Cherokee Real community garden and specializes in fresh, affordable and unique goods. During a recent visit, Gut Check spotted some white eggplant, fresh plums and home-brewed kombucha. Admission is free. 4 to 7 p.m.

Food Truck Friday @ Tower Grove Park For the third year in a row, Food Truck Friday invades Tower Grove Park with eats from Guerilla Street Food, Hot Aztec, Sarah's Cake Stop and much more. Arrive early to avoid lines and come with a big appetite. Admission is free. 4:30 to 8 p.m.

Local Social @ Central West End Every second Friday through September, CWE shops, galleries and restaurants showcase the neighborhood with street entertainment and special discounts. Get the full list of deals and featured talent via the Central West End Scene website. 5 to 9 p.m.

Saturday (Aug. 10):

Hands On Knife Skills Class @ Food Media Forum 2013 As part of the Food Media Forum 2013, learn how to handle a chef's knife (included with class cost) from Culinary Institute of St. Louis instructors. The course costs $75 per person, but participants must also purchase a conference ticket. 9 a.m.

Rack Star Chef @ Kitchen Conservatory Eat like royalty this weekend. French-born chef Jean-Pierre Augé, who has cooked for greats such as the Queen of England and president Dwight Eisenhower, leads this demonstration on how to prepare cheese soufflé, roasted rack of lamb with fresh garlic jus on eggplant cakes, plus a decadent chocolate roulé for an elegant dessert. $45 per person.
