City Museum-Beatnik Bob's

Located on the third floor of the City Museum off of Washington Avenue, Beatnik Bob's pays tribute to the carnival midway with a collection of items compiled to represent the youthful subculture of the '50s. During its open hours, Beatnik Bob's functions as a snack shop with ice cream, soda and other assorted snacks. Dimly lit and glowing with neon lights, the City Museum's ode to an era features a photo booth, pinball machines, shelves full of books for browsing and other various assorted oddities to peruse. Funhouses and corn dogs galore await to explore -- just keep in mind that Bob's runs on a different schedule than the rest of the museum and regularly has an earlier closing time.
