The Tin Can's wares. Mmmm. Beer.
Rumors began swirling around town today that Par Lounge -- which is located beneath the location of the old Hi-Pointe venue -- was bought by the people behind the Tin Can Tavern. With this sale, the upstairs space, which has been vacant since 2006, would be reopened as a music venue. If true, this would be the fourth such Tin Can location, joining the ones in Columbia, downtown St. Louis and the original on Morganford.
When reached by phone at the bar's downtown location, however, Tin Can co-owner Josh Alt said only that "we're always looking for new opportunities."
In other words, consider this rumor -- and any potential new endeavors -- unconfirmed for now. We'll keep you posted if something develops.
