$10,000 Reward Offered for Information on the Murder of Megan Boken

A police news conference Monday afternoon offered little new information about the Megan Boken murder, but only because the police have so little to go on at this point. Police Chief Dan Isom said they have "no concrete leads," and appealed to the public to come forward with any information about the case.

To spur into action any reluctant eye witnesses to the murder, which occurred Saturday afternoon in a busy intersection in the bustling Central West End, a $10,000 reward was officially offered for more information. That reward is being fronted by the Central West End Neighborhood Security Initiative.

Interestingly, there are a number of security cameras in the area. Chief Isom said that some of those cameras were focused on the intersection where the attack happened, but that none of them were set to record -- they were live-streaming only.

And so all the police have to go on now are the eyewitness descriptions of the man who argued briefly with Boken while she was in her car, then fired the two shots that killed her. He's a black man with a medium complexion, 5'8'' to 5'10'', with a thin build and short hair.
