For the fourth year in a row, the Human Rights Campaign named Creve Coeur-based Monsanto one of the best places to work for LGBT employees.
Monsanto is the only Fortune 1000 company in St. Louis -- and only one of 304 major businesses across the country -- to earn a perfect score in the Human Rights Campaign's annual measure of workplace equality.
Monsanto earned that perfect score with its non-discrimination policies, health benefits for domestic partners, philanthropic support, internal diversity committees and even a health plan for transgender employees that helps cover reconstructive surgeries and hormone treatment.
"We are proud of our company's diversity and our focus on inclusion to ensure that every voice is heard and every person is treated equally, as these are critical to our process," says Nicole Ringenberg, Monsanto vice president, in a statement.
