Jacob Lowery Charged With Setting His Girlfriend Ablaze

Jacob Lowery, 34, has been charged with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action for setting fire to his live-in girlfriend. The incident happened at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, June 14, in the 4600 block of Allemania Street.

According to the probable cause report, Lowery allegedly poured gasoline on the woman's head, face and chest and then set her on fire. She ingested gasoline and flames, damaging her lungs. She's still hospitalized.

Lowery is being held on $200,000 cash-only bail.
