Burnin' Love: Pokey LaFarge & Friends Celebrate St. Louis

St. Louis celebrated its 250th birthday with one hot event Tuesday, February 18, on Art Hill in Forest Park. The Burnin' Love Festival, rescheduled from a rainy Valentine's Day, featured music by Pokey Lafarge, "Memories of Elvis" starring Steve Davis, the Royal Rhythm & Blues All Stars, fireworks and plenty of local food and drink. Keeping with the "love" theme, 300 couples had registered to become engaged or re-engaged during the festivities. Photos by Steve Truesdell for the Riverfront Times.
