Who doesn't love a dog in a costume? From Mardi Gras tutus to full Batman-and-Robin regalia, Soulard is always full of terrifically dressed canines on the Sunday before Mardi Gras, and this February 4 was no exception.
The annual parade, touted as the world's largest pet parade, kicked off at 12th and Allen Streets and finished with St. Louis' biggest sporting event of the year, Tito's Vodka Weiner Dog Derby. Local vendors lined the streets with drinks, fried foods and music. Though most attendees brought their dogs, there were parrot sightings, a few cats and even one handsome pig.
RFT Photographer Zachary Linhares was there to capture all the highlights.
