Right about now, folks are needing some happy baseball news, something nice to cheer for. This weekend, at TR Hughes Ballpark (TR Hughes Boulevard and Tom Ginnever Avenue, O’Fallon, Missouri), baseball fans will be able to cheer for 32 to 34 hours straight (!) as players from the Men’s Senior Baseball League try to play the World’s Longest Baseball Game. The first pitch is thrown at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, and the innings should continue all the way to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 14. The group is playing to raise funds for Gene Slay’s Boys’ Club of St. Louis, and you are free to donate what you like for your admission to the world-record attempt. For more information about the game, visit www.worldrecordbaseballgame.com.
