Since its creation in 2007, Record Store Day has become an internationally observed holiday, celebrating the cultural impact of a beloved endangered species: independent record stores. Recognized by shops, labels, artists and fans alike, RSD stands as a testament for the continuing love (and relevance) of vinyl and the folks who lovingly hawk it. Now in its fifth year, the annual event has grown from simply a sale of limited-edition releases to an all-out party, amassing everything from live music performances and DJ spins to exclusive deals and free beer.
