Have an ear for supper?

The "go out and eat at a certain restaurant and a percentage of your bill is donated to a cause" type of fundraiser is increasing in popularity, which shouldn't really be a surprise. It's a relatively painless way to donate, and the donor always gets something in return. The only trouble spot with these things is deciding which tactic to use. Do you go to a place you know and love, or do you take this opportunity to try someplace new? Think on that, but don't take too long: Taste for Tunes, benefiting KDHX (88.1 FM) Community Media, takes place today at more than 40 establishments. The adventurous among you can examine the dining options at www.kdhx.org (or call 314-664-3955), but we're in the mood for pancakes at Chris' Pancakes & Dining (5980 Southwest Avenue), which is donating 20 percent during its dinner hours. As long as KDHX doesn't get 20 percent of our flapjacks, we'll be happy.
