Feast Your Eyes

Fill your belly

The way we see it here at Night & Day, there are a few problems with your work day. First off, you’re relying too heavily on the vending machine to provide you with sustenance -- a Hostess treat does not a healthy meal make. And in addition to not properly feeding your belly, you also aren’t supplying your mind with any enrichment. In order to move things in a more productive direction, you need to start bringing a well-rounded lunch from home. Problem one solved. And as for the second little quandary, ANNONYArts offers up its annual Dine on Dance series at noon for three consecutive Fridays (September 14, 21 and 28). The first of these modern dance performances takes place at Station Plaza (100 South Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood), the next one happens at the Market in the Loop (6655 Delmar Boulevard, University City), and the final dance concert occurs at Strauss Park (North Grand and Washington boulevards). Several performers participate in the shows, from local dancers (including Beckah Voigt [pictured] and Dawn Karlovsky) to visual artist Bill Russell to musicians Mitsu Saito and Rick Kramer. Dine on Dance is free to attend, and that’s not even the best part -- you can bring that healthier lunch to enjoy during the presentations!
