Pledge Allegiance to the Frat

St. Louis Walk of Fame Inductee Harold Ramis (Egon of Ghostbusters), channeled his experiences in the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity at Washington University into the screenplay of National Lampoon's Animal House. Deemed by the Library of Congress as "culturally significant," Animal House revels in the lows of higher education, as John Belushi, Tim Matheson and the rest of Delta House fraternity fight the administration for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Come midnight Friday, expect things to get wild at the Wildey Theatre (252 North Main Street, Edwardsville, Illinois; 618-307-2053 or www.wildeytheatre.com) as Animal House returns to the big screen in the plush, art deco setting of the renovated theater. The management asks that the audience kindly refrain from tossing popcorn during the film's food fight, or face something worse than double secret probation. General admission is $6 to $8.
