Chamber music gets a makeover

Oct 8, 2008 at 4:00 am
Whether you're an expert on classical music or are trying out Stravinsky for the first time, Chamber Project Saint Louis promises you a unique listening experience. For those not in the know, chamber music typically features three to twelve musicians, and it's usually played for small, intimate groups. The talented ensemble of classically trained female artists that make up the Chamber Project wants to bring the local chamber-music scene to new heights by playing everything from the classics to the music of today. Hear for yourself at 3 p.m. at St. Louis Community College-Meramec (11333 Big Bend Road, in room 102 of Humanities West) when the group holds its premiere performance. No cufflinks or bejeweled dresses required; just come as you are to enjoy great music in a cozy setting. The concert's free; visit www.chamberprojectstl.com or call 314-644-2542 for more information.
